September 2017-October 2018: 25th Anniversary of the Hellenic Institute

The Hellenic Institute will be celebrating the 25th Anniversary since its establishment in 1993, with three special events. The first will take place at the Hellenic Centre on 30 November 2017, when the well-known historian, author and broadcaster Dr Bettany Hughes will give a lecture on the study of Hellenism, followed by a concert with the celebrated Greek pianist Panayiotis Gogos. The second event is a concert of classical music including compositions with a Greek association to be performed in the Windsor Auditorium, RHUL Egahm campus, by the internationally renowned pianist Carlo Grante on 6 March 2018. The third event will close the 25th Anniversary celebrations with a concert featuring a commissioned choral piece entitled 'Odyssey', composed by Lydia Kakabadse. It will be performed by the RHUL College choir in the College Chapel on 27 October 2018. Full details will be posted in due course. We look forward to seeing you at these special events.
